Men’s Group
Carbon Psychology: Signature Program
Next Group will run: April 14 - June 2
This group is for men who want to deal more effectively with the pressures of modern life: disconnection, shame, anger, uncertainty about purpose or direction, and a sense of facing these struggles alone.
It is open to adult men of all ages and designed to meet you where you are now — whether at the height of your career, at the end of a romantic relationship, or at a point where direction feels unclear. You may be struggling with something acute, or with the absence of a clear problem — feeling stalled, empty, or adrift.
Sessions combine guided exercises with time devoted to examining what is discussed, as it relates to your own life. Attention is given to both what is said and how men relate to one another in real time. Patterns that emerge in the room are taken up directly and addressed together.
This is an eight-week group, with up to ten participants, meeting once per week on Tuesday evenings, from 6:30pm - 8:00pm, at our Mission office. The next group will run April 14 - June 2.

Building self-awareness through real-time interactions
Gaining insight into relationship patterns
Practicing vulnerability and honest communication
Developing empathy and emotional connection
Strengthening resilience and confidence in relationships
How the Group Works
Men’s Group follows a defined eight-week structure, organized around a sequence of core themes.
Sessions are 90 minutes in length.
Week 1: Orientation & Goal-Setting
Week 2: Masculinity & Shame
Week 3: Facing Your Fears, Emotions, and Unique Challenges
Week 4: Relationships & Intimacy
Week 5: Anger & Control
Week 6: Purpose & Identity
Week 7: Loneliness & Belonging
Week 8: Integration & Leaving
While the weekly themes provide direction, the sessions remain responsive to what becomes relevant for participants in the moment.
No prior therapy experience is needed — only a willingness to explore and engage authentically in a safe, supportive environment.
