Couples Therapy
Support for communication, conflict, separation, and reconnection.
Work together to better understand your relationship and find a way forward — whether that means repairing, rebuilding, or gaining clarity.
Why attend couples therapy?
Relationships can be one of the most meaningful — and challenging — parts of life.
Couples therapy offers a space to slow things down, understand what’s happening between you, and begin to shift patterns that no longer feel sustainable.
Whether you’re feeling disconnected, stuck in conflict, or trying to rebuild after something difficult, therapy can help you move forward with more clarity and intention.
How Couples Therapy Works.
Couples therapy is collaborative and focused on understanding the patterns between you — especially the ones that keep repeating.
Rather than assigning blame, we help you identify what’s happening underneath the surface — including communication patterns, attachment styles, emotional responses, and unmet needs.
From there, we work toward building more effective ways of relating, communicating, and navigating challenges together.
Not everyone begins couples therapy together.
Many people start individually to better understand their patterns in relationships before inviting their partner into the process.

FAQ
-
Will the therapist take sides in couples therapy?
No. The focus is on understanding the dynamic between both people — not assigning blame. The goal is to help both partners feel heard and to work through patterns more effectively.
-
What if my partner is hesitant about therapy?
This is common. It can help to frame therapy as a space to better understand each other, rather than “fixing” one person. Some couples start even if one person is unsure.
-
Can couples therapy help if we’re not sure we want to stay together?
Yes. Therapy can help you explore what’s happening in the relationship and make thoughtful decisions — whether that’s working toward repair or deciding to separate.
-
What if we keep having the same argument over and over?
Repeated conflict usually points to an underlying pattern. Therapy helps identify what’s actually happening beneath the surface and how to shift those dynamics.
-
Do we both have to attend every session?
Generally, yes — but sometimes individual sessions are included if helpful. This can be discussed depending on your situation.
-
How do we know if couples therapy is working?
Signs of progress often include better understanding, less escalation in conflict, improved communication, and more clarity about the relationship.
