Therapy & Psychological Assessment

for anxiety, burnout, relationships, grief, addictions, and life transitions.

Our work is grounded in understanding patterns, building clarity, and helping people make meaningful changes in their lives. Each therapist brings a different approach, allowing you to find someone who feels like the right fit, whether you’re looking for something more practical, more exploratory, or somewhere in between.

Carbon is the essential element of life — it’s what everything living is built from.

Our brand is built around this idea… that there’s a silent thread connecting us all and representing our shared humanity.

Carbon is also what becomes a diamond after time and immense pressure.

The diamond is a little reminder that transformation isn’t always gentle, and sometimes, only through pressure, do we discover our strongest, clearest selves.

Free Consultations

Research shows that the greatest predictor of success for therapy is the therapeutic relationship. Finding someone you feel you can talk openly with is the most important aspect of therapy. A brief consultation gives you the chance to ask questions, get a sense of how we work, and see whether the fit feels right, without committing to anything upfront.

It’s a simple way to make a more informed decision about where to start.

Counselling & Therapy

Therapy at Carbon Psychology is focused on understanding what’s actually happening beneath the surface, the patterns, reactions, and experiences that shape how you think, feel, and relate to others.

Whether you’re navigating something specific or feeling stuck in a way that’s harder to name, the work is about building clarity and making changes that carry into your day-to-day life. Sessions are available in person and online, depending on what works best for you.

Assessments

Psychological assessments provide a structured, in-depth understanding of how someone is functioning, cognitively, emotionally, and behaviourally.

They are often used to clarify concerns such as learning differences, attention, or mental health, and to guide decisions around support, accommodations, or next steps. Our assessments are completed with children, teens, and adults, and are designed to be thorough, practical, and directly applicable to real-life situations.

Ways We Work

Individuals

We work with individuals navigating anxiety, relationships, grief, identity, trauma, and life transitions. Some come in with something specific they want to work through, while others feel stuck or overwhelmed in a way that’s harder to name.

Our therapists take different approaches — some more practical, some more exploratory — but the focus is the same: helping you understand what’s happening and make changes that carry into your everyday life.

We also work with children and teens, adapting therapy to meet them at their stage of development.

Couples

Relationships can shift over time — communication breaks down, conflict repeats, or things start to feel distant or disconnected.

Couples therapy offers a space to understand what’s happening beneath the surface, work through patterns, and find more effective ways of relating. The goal isn’t just to manage conflict, but to rebuild connection in a way that feels more stable and intentional.

Families

Family dynamics can be complex, especially during times of stress, transition, or change. Different perspectives, communication styles, and roles can create tension that’s difficult to navigate on your own.

Family therapy focuses on helping each person feel heard, while working toward clearer communication, stronger relationships, and a more stable family dynamic overall.

Groups

Group therapy offers a different way of doing the work — one that’s more relational and interactive. Instead of working through challenges on your own, you’re in a space with others navigating similar experiences.

It can be especially helpful for building confidence, improving communication, and understanding how you relate to others in real time. For many, it also reduces the sense of isolation that can come with struggling on your own.

Men’s Mental Health

At Carbon Psychology, we’re committed to addressing the stigma around men’s mental health by creating space for more honest, direct conversations. We believe men deserve support that feels relevant and grounded, without pressure, judgment, or expectation.
