Accepting New Clients In-Person & Online
Tim holds a master’s degree in counselling psychology and is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). He provides a collaborative, supportive space where individuals and couples can explore challenges and move toward meaningful change. Tim works with clients in a number of areas such as anxiety, depression, relational issues, grief, life transitions, trauma, and men’s issues.
Drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), he tailors his work to each client’s goals and needs. For couples, he integrates principles from the Gottman Method into sessions.
Clients describe his style as warm, grounded, and non-judgmental, balanced with a touch of humour and willingness to challenge and encourage growth in ways that feel safe and effective.
Before continuing onto graduate studies Tim spent a number of years working in the trades as a Red Seal electrician, an experience that helped instill a tireless work ethic and shape his down to earth, pragmatic approach to helping clients create real change.

More about Tim
”I believe therapy can be an inflection point for growth, self-understanding, and healing because it creates a pause in the momentum of everyday life. Most people don’t arrive at therapy because they are broken; they come because something simply isn’t working anymore. We all live storied lives marked by struggle and the search for meaning, and therapy offers space to slow down and speak your truth, even if your voice shakes.
While change may not happen immediately, small enjoyments often begin to stand out again… the mountain climbed, as shared meal, the last light of sunset” - Tim Maxwell
