Stephanie Orr, M.Sc. Canadian Certified Counsellor
Stephanie (she/her) holds a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology and is a licensed Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). She understands the value of healing-in-connection with a trusted other and nurtures a collaborative therapeutic environment with individuals and couples.
Believing that every person’s healing journey is unique, Stephanie works together with her clients to co-create a pathway that aligns with their personal goals–fostering deeper self-awareness, healing, healthy attachment, and lasting transformation.
Gender, Identity & Sexuality
Break free from the cycle of obsessions and compulsions.
Living with OCD can feel exhausting. Intrusive thoughts seem to appear out of nowhere, and compulsions—like checking, repeating, or seeking reassurance—can feel near-impossible to resist. Even when you know these rituals don’t fully make sense, the anxiety can be overwhelming.
OCD creates a self-reinforcing cycle: obsessions trigger anxiety, compulsions bring brief relief, and the cycle begins again.
The good news? This cycle can be broken.
When we face pain and discomfort on our own, it can feel confusing, isolating, and overwhelming. I believe that therapy is a path to deeper self-knowing, and that true healing unfolds when we explore ourselves in a safe, supportive space with someone we genuinely connect to.
My approach to therapy is holistic, recognizing the connections between mind, body, and spirit, as well as our relationships—with ourselves, others, and the world around us. It's grounded in emotion-focused, attachment-based, person-centered, somatic, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive practices.
I am an ally and 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming. I welcome folks of all identities, orientations, genders, and cultures.
I believe every individual is unique and an expert in their own life, and from this perspective we can work together to co-create a path that best supports your personal awareness, growth, and therapeutic goals.

2SLGBTQIA+ Affirming
We welcome folks of all identities, orientations, genders, and cultures. Healing comes when we're connected to our authentic feelings, thoughts, and personhood. We encourage you to show up as your most authentic and true self. You can count on us to do the same!
-
Holistic Healing
We understand that healing emerges when we nurture and attend to our mind, body, and spirit. Each individual is a unique and complex system, existing within larger social and environmental systems. Understanding how we connect to ourselves, others, and all that is around us, is an important part of the healing journey.
-
Sliding Scale Pricing
We understand that many of the challenges folks face stem from systemic issues and barriers, which is why we are committed to using anti-oppressive frameworks in our practice. Alongside our regular counselling services, we offer sliding-scale pricing to a limited number of clients facing barriers to accessing counselling due to unemployment, underemployment, or marginalization.
Stephanie’s Approach
Using a trauma-informed lens, Stephanie is adept at creating a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where clients can be themselves. Her therapeutic approach is holistic, integrating the mind, body, and spirit. She draws from various modalities including Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), Attachment Theory, Person-Centred, Existential, Gottman, Somatic, and Mindfulness practices to support clients in their unique journeys.
